TEACHER TO FAMILY
- Postcards to parents/guardians including praise and/or concerns.
- These will be sent out each month.
- Emails to parents/guardians when needed.
- Teacher will also give parents/guardians access to the blog that will have updates regarding the classroom.
TEAM TO FAMILY
- Team Newsletter will be mailed out quarterly to families with updates and notice of events within the upcoming months.
- Students will help determine what gets put into the newsletter each quarter.
- Student led conferences with homeroom teacher and then a chance to visit and communicate with other teachers in the team.
- Student’s are responsible for collecting important material from all of their classes into a portfolio and will present that information to their parent/guardian during their allotted conference time.
- The team will host small family events once a quarter. Some examples could include a night for students to display academic work or poetry and baked goods night.
SCHOOL TO FAMILY
- The school will host an annual career day, where parents and other community members are invited to come share about their jobs.
- Students will be split into groups, and rotate around to each speaker to hear about their job.
- The school will host large family events twice a year. Some examples could include a barn dance, cookout, or carnival fundraiser.
